Fujinon Starscope Pro-2010 night vision monocular. Uses a Photonis XX1613/P32 image intensifier (Super-Gen tube). The sharp, well-defined image produced is generally considered to outperform later Gen 2+ and Gen 3 devices. Powered by two standard AA batteries. Main focussing is by rotating the front lens ring with diopter correction at the eyepiece and auto brightness control. Note that the onboard IR (an LED in the battery cover) on this example has been disconnected by a previous user and so to get the very best results additional IR may possibly be required. Having said that, I have personally found the tube to be extremely sensitive, often still producing a useable image even with the “pin-hole” lens cap still in place! Professional users include the British RNLI national lifeboat service. Cosmetic condition is good but it had been used professionally before I acquired it so there is some light surface wear to the paint and plastic/rubber. Weight 500gms/1.1lbs, length 15cms/6″, overall diameter 7.5cms/3″. The monocular will be very carefully packed in a well padded box for dispatch and sent fully insured.
